Templates save reusable SMS and email content so your team can send consistent messages faster. Manage them under Messaging → Templates.

1. Creating a template

Click New template and provide:

  • Name — a label your team will recognize
  • Channel — SMS or Email
  • Content — the message body (and subject for email templates)

You can mark one template per channel as the default. Default templates are pre-selected when composing a new campaign.

2. Merge fields and personalization

Templates support merge fields that are replaced with real values when a message is sent—for example customer name, invoice number, or balance due. Available fields depend on your personalization settings under Messaging → Settings → Personalization.

Use the preview tools in settings to test how merged content looks before sending live campaigns.

3. Using templates in the outbox

When composing a campaign in the outbox, pick a template from the dropdown. The template content fills the message editor. You can edit the text before sending without changing the saved template.

4. Editing and resetting

  • Edit — update name, content, or default status
  • Reset — restore a template to its original system default (where applicable)
  • Delete — remove templates you no longer need
